12/30/92 Symphony Hall, Springfield, MA Opening standard. Trey plays
"Auld Lang Syne" (well, teases it for abit) in the
pre-Nirvana build, which, like 12/28, is gorgeous. Trey repetitively
and gently noodles a little lick in here, too. Niiice. "Nirvana"
at 3:03. 12/28's pre-Nirvana build is still more beautiful than this
one, though, imo. Nirvana is standard. Mike's solo section is
more active than 12/28, but still nothing unusually awry. Kinda spaced
out in here.. nothing profound in the pre-charge. "Boy" at
6:35 after a great scream from Mike and Trey. WUDMTF segment standard.
Tramps jam at 8:46 or so. Page is noodling in a
frenzy.. _VERY_ active in here. Well, I spaced.. the jam segment probably
started around 11 minutes or something. This jam is
pretty good.. Trey's jamming around 13:30 is especially impressive,
but this probably means B&D soon... Jam drops out at
13:45. B&D segment basically begins in here.. Mike and Fish just
funk out, but nothing too serious until around 14:22 when
Mike starts grooving very nicely! =^] Yeah! Funk OUT.. Final WUDMTF
segment at about 15:10. Vocal jam ensues..
definitely strange. pete shaw pete shaw.. at around 17:22 or so they
start harmonizing & chanting... on "Go" or something. It is
ok. Total time about 18:25. C+ rating for this YEM. I don't think it
is that exciting, or that great. The pre-TMWSIY "cousin"
silliness is far more thrilling. two cents
